EASY SIZZLING YEE MEE RECIPE

Assalamualaikum πŸ™‹
.
.
Last few days I made Sizzling Yee Mee for dinner since my husband is more into noodles than rice. So, kita pon belajarlah memasak mee. I told him before I wanted to try make Sizzling Yee Mee. Sebab selalu sangat kalau pergi Jusco ke, Tesco ke order Sizzling Yee Mee dekat foodcourt haha. But, I always feel that the Yee Mee they serve is in a very small portion. Tak puas makan. Siapa rasa jugak angkat tangan sikit?πŸ™‹πŸ™ŠπŸ˜‚

So, I vowed myself to learn how to make the Sizzling Yee Mee at home. Please note that you don't have to have/buy the black sizzling plate in order to make this menu ya. Tak perlu Tak perlu (lain lah anda nak bukak kedai ke kan haha)

I googled on the menus, but then I realised I don't have the most important ingredients for this menu. Yup. The Dried Shitake Mushroom and Sweet Soy Sauce. So, I wondered ; 'Boleh ke jadi ni eh? Boleh kot kalau buat dengan penuh kasih sayang πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

Okay, enough with talking. Here I listed the ingredients needed to make the superb Sizzling Yee Mee yang lagi sedap dari kedai. Hahaha

Ingredients :
Garlic : 8 cloves
Dried Chillies : 10 (if you don't like spicy, you can put 4)
Ginger : 2-3 inch
Oyster Sauce : 2-3 Tablespoon
Soy Sauce (I used Habhal's) - 4-5 Tablespoon
Sesame Oil - 1 Tablespoon
King Oyster (as you want)
Corn Starch : 4-5 Tablespoon
Yee Mee (Cap Kunci)
Chicken

(Not in the picture ; Ginger. Sorry Ginger, I forgot about you πŸ˜‚ )

Yes, as I said before.
I don't have Dried Shitake
(and because the price is a bit pricey,
husband asked me to change it to King Oyster instead) .
What a plus point of this Eryngii Mushroom (another name for King Oyster)
is that it's high in antioxidants 😍
Mesti ramai pernah jumpa cendawan ni tapi tak tahu macam mana nak makan kan?

I'm telling you this King Oyster is really good. It taste like chicken grill (yes, you need to grill it lah tapi ) Husband said that this type of mushroom is really famous in Japan. When its winter time they will grill it and eat them panas panas as the taste is like chicken. So, you don't have to worry if you don't have ay charcoal to grill this thing over. You can just grill this on your pan without any oil ya. I repeat, NO OIL.

1. First step is, of course to cut all things that are necessary. Such as the dried chillies (I cut them in two each), then cut the garlic into diced and ginger slice.

2. Grill the King Oyster.

Grill them until it look like this. Then slice them thinly like the chicken ham.

3. Put a lil bit of Olive Oil in wok (just to ensure that this is more healthy then the foodcourt haha), throw in your garlic and dried chillies along with the sesame oil and ginger.

4. Put in the oyster sauce and the soy sauce. Mix them well in the wok.

5. Put your king oyster in together too and mix well.

6. Take your chicken and put them in the sauce. Let it cook for 10 minutes or so.

6. Mix half cup of water with corn starch and pour them in the wok. Let it come to simmer until it looks like a gravy like.

7. Your sauce/gravy is now done.

8. Take a clean pan and put on to the next stove. Scoop in 2 or 3 of the gravy into the pan. Put your Yee Mee on the pan with the gravy.

9. Finish it with some japanese mustard/pak choy and an egg(sawi jepun - if you want). Let it come to boil for 5 minutes and you can move it into a plate and you're DONE!

How it'll look like on the pan.
